My woodworking career began as a hobby in college tucked away in the woods of Minnesota. I had access to a theater's scene shop and some free time so I started a project. The project was a small racing boat that promptly sank. While the project was a failure in the sense that the boat is definitely not seaworthy, it was a success in the greater sense in that it sent me down a path of discovery that has lead to many years of learning and creating functional artistic pieces

Process

Each piece is designed to fit your needs and your personal style. Whether you decide you're interested in something I have in stock or want something custom, it all begins with a conversation. We begin with sketches, and we'll work together to finalize a design you love. Then, I get to building! the timing of a completed project depends on the complexity of the work - some projects are relatively quick and others are more labor intensive.

Guarantee

I strive to create pieces you can enjoy for years to come. If you ever encounter a design flaw or craftsmanship issue, I will fix or replace the piece. With that said, trees are living things and each piece of wood will have variations that serve to enhance the natural appeal of products - while I can guarantee the craftsmanship of a product, I cannot guarantee that the wood within individual elements will be identical - in fact I can generally guarantee that it won't be!
